Tethered - Australian Directors Guild Nomination - Craig Irvin

It is with great pleasure that I announce, Craig Irvin has been nominated for a Best Director award at the Australian Directors Guild, 2012 for the short film, 'Tethered'. In total, Tethered has now been nominated for 17 awards and to win this prestigious prize would be icing on the cake for the good work Craig has been carrying out since 'Tethered' was released in early 2011. Craig is currently working on a teen Sci-fi adventure series called 'The Lost Boys'' with well know Australian Director, Tony Ayres.

Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival (Tethered)

After a long and laborious 24 hours with plenty of films to watch on a screen that wouldn't be fit for a convict travelling to Van Diemond's Land and the sound that was equivalent to that from a broken transistor radio, we finally made it to Clermont-Ferrand. Thank you Qantas for flying me safely from Melbourne to Paris but please don't put me on an Air France flight for 14 hours on my return. My backside is still recovering from multiple lashings of pins and needles and I fear my coccyx will be smashed to smithereens if I'm wedged between two obese weightlifters from Nord-Pas-de-Calais again!

Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival (Tethered)-2

Bonjour,

The Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival has finally come to a close and although, 'Tethered' didn't walk away with any prizes, both Craig and I had an awesome time. Over the last 9 days we have watched over 80 short films from all around the globe. It's interesting to witness what themes and stories other film makers have been producing over the last 24 months.
